Sew What?
What do thread, scissors, UFO’s and laughter have in common? A lot when they are combined every Wednesday morning at First Presbyterian Church!
“Sew What?” is a fun time for fellowship, exchanging ideas, working on mission projects, or your own UFO (Un-Finished Object). There are quilts, caps, wall hangings, baby blankets – every type of needle/handwork that you can imagine. Working with your sewing machine? Bring it along. Don’t sew? Bring your favorite project. There is space for everything and everyone.
From 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, every Wednesday. Come when you can - leave when you need to!
Retired Rangers
The Retired Rangers meet for breakfast every Tuesday at 8 a.m. for fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Afterwards they head over to the Church to help the Church Sexton with odd jobs, projects, maintenance updates, and assorted preparations for special worship services. You don't have to be retired to join this group. Everyone is welcome!
Prayer Warriors
Our Prayer Warriors are a devoted, dedicated, and faithful group of Chistians. Praying together amplifies the power of prayer and fulfills our basic human need to connect - both with God and one another.
Deacons
The primary focus of the Deacons is to serve our Lord by supporting the Church Family and local community with care, compassion, and love through their many service projects and ministries. This team of 12 dedicated and faithful servers is nominated, elected, and ordained prior to beginning their ministry.
Fun & Fellowship
Our mission is to coordinate events and activities that promote fellowship for our Church family, which often extends to the local community, as well. We are pleased to present enjoyable gatherings such as Sandwich Sunday, Lunch Bunch, Bunco Night, Punch on the Porch, dinner and theater evenings, Church picnics, Church dinners, and many, many more. We celebrate the love of Christ at our gatherings and joyfully share with all who attend!
Celebrate the Seasons
Our annual craft show provides opportunity for crafters to sell their homemade treasures during the autumn season, highlighting and focusing on the fall and winter holidays.
Tables are available for $10 and each vendor keeps their profits. The Church commits 100% of the table rental fees to Ministry Partnerships.
